On characterizations of the fully rational fuzzy choice functions

In the present paper, we introduce the fuzzy Nehring axiom, fuzzy Sen axiom and weaker form of the weak fuzzycongruence axiom. We establish interrelations between these axioms and their relation with fuzzy Chernoff axiom. Weexpress full rationality of a fuzzy choice function using these axioms along with the fuzzy Chernoff axiom.

Logical and Algebraic Characterizations of Rational Transductions

Rational word languages can be defined by several equivalent means: finite state automata, rational expressions, finite congruences, or monadic second-order (MSO) logic. The robust subclass of aperiodic languages is defined by: counter-free automata, star-free expressions, aperiodic (finite) congruences, or first-order (FO) logic. In particular, their algebraic characterization by aperiodic con...

Two Characterizations of Hypercubes

Two characterizations of hypercubes are given: 1) A graph is a hypercube if and only if it is antipodal and bipartite (0, 2)-graph. 2) A graph is an nhypercube if and only if there are n pairs of prime convexes, the graph is a prime convex intersection graph, and each intersection of n prime convexes (no one of which is from the same pair) is a vertex.

Rational curves of minimal degree and characterizations of Pn

In this paper we investigate complex uniruled varieties X whose rational curves of minimal degree satisfy a special property. Namely, we assume that the tangent directions to such curves at a general point x ∈ X form a linear subspace of TxX. As an application of our main result, we give a unified geometric proof of Mori’s, Wahl’s, Campana-Peternell’s and Andreatta-Wísniewski’s characterization...

Two Characterizations of Conditional Probability1

This note contains two types of functional equations characterizing the conditional probability measures as subclasses of vector measures on general Banach function spaces. One uses the theory of vector integration and the other employs a form of the Sidak identity.
